Loreto High School, which has been an Ambassador School for three years, hosted the European Parliament Ambassador Schools accreditation event for schools and colleges in the North West of England.
The event featured moving speeches from former MEP, Julie Ward, and the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Yasmine Dar. Both spoke of how they got involved in community activism and their pride in becoming representative politicians for the region. They encouraged the Junior Ambassadors, assembled to receive their certificates, to continue to use the Ambassador Schools programme to widen their horizons, deepen their knowledge of the world around them, and campaign for issues they care about.
