Frere Jacques with Primary School

Spanish Exchange
In January, eight Wellington students embarked on an exciting week at Salesianos in Huesca, Spain. They honed their Spanish skills, explored Montearagon, Jaca, and Zaragoza, and made lasting friendships. In March, their Spanish pals will visit Ayr, where a fun-filled cultural exchange awaits. Wellington Primary 7s had an unforgettable trip to Dortmund, bonding with pen pals at Mallinckrodt-Gymnasium. They explored German Christmas traditions, enjoyed festive markets, and shared family time with new friends. Accompanied by S6 mentors, the experience was both fun and educational. Valentine’s Day languages and craft activity
In February, Wellington School Junior Ambassadors hosted a fun languages and craft event for our Primary 7 kids. They guided them in writing Valentine’s Day messages in French, German, and their native languages to send to pen pals in France and Germany. It was a fantastic cultural exchange experience!

Model United Nations and Visit to European Central Bank
During February break, 15 of our Model UN members, including five EPAS Junior Ambassadors, rocked an international conference in Bad Homburg, Germany. Led by Secretaries General Lara and Erica, our Wellington crew chaired five committees. They honed skills, explored local sights, and enjoyed fun evenings. What an amazing experience!

Wellington School at the European Parliament
On October 11th, 13 Wellington School students joined the Euroscola event at the European Parliament in Strasbourg with peers from 29 countries. They interviewed EU leaders, learned about MEPs, and debated democracy and rights. Before heading home, they enjoyed some sightseeing in Strasbourg’s historic center.
