Our Junior Ambassadors, guided by our Senior Ambassadors, are crafting and sharing a page in our monthly newsletter. The ‘European Corner’ section highlights various EU countries. The students collaborate, research, and proudly showcase their work each month. This project has been an amazing learning experience for them, and it continues to inspire!
World Food Day: ‘Bon Appetit’ – World Foods Made in Europe
The college’s EPAS ambassadors created an info point and presentation for World Food Day, celebrating Europe’s cultural diversity through favorite foods, some traditionally European. This display was set up in the college restaurant, shown on campus info screens, and emailed to all 2,300 students. Check out the full details in the link!
Digital Notice Board
A new school year means a fresh Info Point! This time, Wellington School’s Junior Ambassadors are going digital. They’ll update the electronic noticeboards monthly with upcoming events. European Elections Library stand and treasure hunt
Junior Ambassadors from the European Parliament got inspired and organized a treasure hunt to celebrate the European Elections. We teamed up with the Library, showcasing books on European history and democracy, and created an election-themed treasure hunt. Students searched for posters, solved secret messages, and competed for fun prizes!
Assembly presentation to S5 pupils
Junior Ambassadors from Clevedon Secondary School gave a presentation to new Secondary 5 students. They highlighted the Ambassador Schools program and invited questions. Students were encouraged to join activities and reach out if they wanted to become Junior Ambassadors. Dive in and discover more about this exciting opportunity!
Using Languages in the Workplace
Wellington School’s Junior Ambassadors rocked a workshop to show how languages shine in the workplace. They kicked off with British Council films, picking three crowd-pleasers. Attendees listed language-related jobs before and after, revealing more opportunities. Fun activities kept everyone engaged. It was such a hit, they’re doing it again!
Student-led Europe Day assembly
Students at Manchester Hospital School’s Galaxy House CAMHS unit teamed up to create an assembly for Europe Day. They showcased EU cultures and ended with a fun quiz. A Junior Ambassador presented it online to KS2 and KS3 students at Galaxy House and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. European Elections Webinar Recording
Typhaine Morillon, from the European Parliament Liaison Office in the UK, chatted with Junior and Senior Ambassadors about the UK’s European Parliament elections campaign. Former MEP awards Ambassadors in Devon
Caroline Voaden, ex-MEP for South West England and Gibraltar, visited Queen Elizabeth School in Crediton, Devon. She awarded a plaque and certificates to the school and its Ambassadors for completing their first year as a European Parliament Ambassador School. Check out the full story in the Crediton Courier!
Ambassador Schools accreditation in the North West
Loreto High School, an Ambassador School for three years, hosted the European Parliament Ambassador Schools accreditation event in the North West of England. Inspiring speeches by former MEP Julie Ward and Manchester’s Lord Mayor, Yasmine Dar, motivated Junior Ambassadors to broaden their horizons and advocate for their passions. Read more here: [link].

Create a posting plan to stay organized!
Creating an EPAS webpage on your website
To be a great ambassador, share your journey towards becoming a European Parliament Ambassador School with your school community. Start by updating your website with EPAS info. As you progress, add engaging content. Keep your page fresh with regular updates and involve Junior Ambassadors for a dynamic experience!
