International Mother Language Day

We, Oaklea Grange, held a whole school assembly on International Mother Language Day. We looked at languages that we are losing and how to preserve them. We spoke about all the interesting ways in which people can communicate and why it is important to preserve tradition and try and keep these language and variations alive.

We watched videos of different languages such as click language, yodelling, and even the village in Patagonia that has Welsh speakers.

We spoke in Welsh and took part in a word search and mindfulness colouring on a language of our choice.
