Year 11 pupils at Hele’s School who are taking Spanish as an extra GCSE swapped pen pal letters with pupils form a school in Spain.
They created the contact through one of the Spanish members of staff.
The sending and receiving of letters gives students a different way to appreciate one another’s culture to communicating in one of the many instant mediums we have to hand. It encourages students to think about what they are going to say, and gives them the space and time to make sure that they express themselves clearly and confidently.
