Screening of 20,000 Species of Bees for the LUX Audience Award

All the Junior Ambassadors at Oaklea Grange voted on which film out of the 5 candidates to watch and we narrowed it down to 2: 20,000 Species of Bees and On the Adamant, as both deal with mental health issues and that is what our school is about. We watched the first film, 20,000 Species of Bees.

We created a mind map of key point from the film as we were watching it and discussed character flaws and traits and themes running through the film.

We discussed how we felt about the film being in Spanish and having to read it in subtitles. Did this affect the film’s message or enhance it?

Finally we voted on the LUX website as to how we rated the film.
