Registration | See available teaching materials. Write down any questions you have about EPAS, the European Parliament, Learning resources, the EU, Brexit, etc. |
Formal introduction and welcome | Explain the aims and structure of the sessions. Introduce the trainers, guests and ask Senior Ambassadors to introduce themselves. |
What is EPAS and the European Parliament | An icebreaker activity in the form of a European Parliamentary debate on running EPAS in the UK. |
Everything you wanted to know about the EU (but were afraid to ask) | Expert speakers from the European Parliament Liaison Office (EPLO) answer the questions that teachers have asked about the Parliament, Brexit, the EU, and EPAS. EPLO staff briefly present opportunities coming up over 2022-23 that EPAS schools can take advantage of. |
Lunch (provided) | EPLO staff are invited to join to meet the Senior Ambassadors. |
The structure of EPAS | Presentation: – The core elements of the scheme – What you have to do to gain accreditation – The roadmap – a month by month plan Q&A on the structure, requirements and roadmap |
Using the website | All Senior Ambassadors are signed up to the website, shown where to find resources and support, and know how to upload evidence. |
Events, networking and planning | Participants, Involver, and EPLO staff share ideas for events that help towards EPAS accreditation. Senior Ambassadors are encouraged to start to plan any possible shared events with other Senior Ambassadors. Each Senior Ambassador is asked to fill out their Roadmap: – What activities will they do? – When? – What support do they need? |
