Ambassador Schools Accreditation Ceremony 2026 – Birmingham

This year our Accreditation Ceremony will be held in the West Midlands, hosted by one of our long-standing European Parliament Ambassador Schools, The Greek School of Ayia Triada Birmingham.

TIMEPROGRAMME
13.55Schools arrive.
14.00Welcome by Leena Maria Linnus,
Head of Office, European Parliament Liaison Office in the UK.
14.10Presentation by each of the schools about the activities that they have undertaken as part of the Ambassador Schools scheme – 5 minutes per school.
14.40Presentation by Guest of Honour (TBC).
15.00Guest of Honour to answer questions from students.
15.20Students are invited onto the stage to receive their certificates. Each school is given a plaque and a group photo is taken of the school, with the Guest of Honour.
15.40Thanks from the Headteacher of Greek School of Ayia Triada Birmingham. Dance Group performance.
15.50Reception: Greek and Cypriot food. Interviews with videographer.
16:30Finish.

Your presentation

Each school or college attending is invited to give a presentation sharing their experiences as a European Parliament Ambassador School in 2025/26. Below are some pointers for what you might cover:

  • What activities you ran and took part in
  • Reflections from Junior Ambassadors on what they got out of being Ambassadors
  • What your plans are for next year
  • MAXIMUM 5 minutes
  • If you are using slides: use them to illustrate what you are saying with pictures and key quotes, not as a script. Get rid of long lists or big blocks of text: no one wants to see you read your slides out.

You can use slides, but it is not required. If you are, please follow our guide to sending slideshows/presentations that won’t break:
