Cinema Trip Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival

Govan High Pupils were given the opportunity to attend the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival in October to see ‘Los Aitas’, a film set during the time of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

This was a really enriching experience for pupils who really enjoyed attending the film festival and seeing a Spanish film in the cinema. Afterwards, we engaged in conversation about the various topics and themes the film explored, such as companionship and determination, and explored the historical events which provided a backdrop to the storyline and increased pupils’ cultural awareness.

Very glad to hear how much students got out of this. Maybe you could expend the experience by putting on a screening of a Spanish film (or short film) at school? We have guides for how your Junior Ambassadors can set up a film screening here: https://epas.org.uk/epas-resources/
