Preparations are underway for the European Parliament Ambassador Schools (EPAS) Sakharov Youth Seminar 2026, which will take place in Strasbourg on Wednesday, 16 December 2026.

This seminar will bring together EPAS students and teachers from all the EU Member States and the UK to celebrate democratic values and youth engagement in the framework of the Sakharov Prize. The programme is currently being prepared, but will include activities such as:

  • Parallel activities for students and teachers
  • Reserved seats for participants at the Sakharov Prize Ceremony
  • A networking drink with MEPs
  • Certificates of attendance

  • The European Parliament Liaison Office in the UK (EPLO UK) will select one school/college to attend as the UK’s delegation.
  • This school/college will be able to send 4 students and 2 staff.

Have you added all your 2025/26 and 2026/27 evidence to this website?
Schools will be selected based on the activity evidence submitted on epas.org.uk for the 2025/26 and 2026/27 academic year. If you have not yet submitted evidence for some or all of your activities, you have until 23:59 on Saturday 17th October 2026 to upload it for consideration.
How many students would you take?
When selecting students, please bear in mind that an equal number of girls and boys would facilitate room allocation. Students will stay in twin rooms, sharing with another student of the same gender. If the numbers are unequal, some students will need to share with a student of the same gender from another country.
How many staff would go?
Teachers will stay in single rooms.

All successful applicants will need to fill out their individual registration, including passport details by 23rd October – a link to do this will be sent to the successful applicant.
