To mark the European Day of Languages, our students designed a poster for the “Languages for Peace” international competition organised by the European Centre for Modern Languages. This creative activity allowed them to reflect on how languages can be used as a tool for mutual understanding and peace across Europe.
Moreover, our EPAS Junior Ambassadors organised a series of lunchtime activities aimed at celebrating linguistic diversity and promoting intercultural understanding. The programme included:

Mini language taster sessions, where students learned greetings and basic phrases in various European languages,
A fun “language spy” challenge based on The Secret Agent’s Handbook of Language Challenges.
While participation during lunch was lower than expected, the activities sparked meaningful conversations among students and highlighted the importance of language learning as a way to build peace and foster cultural connections.
Despite some challenges, the event contributed to promoting the EPAS values of diversity, inclusion, and European cooperation.
EPAS Team Comment
Sounds like an excellent collection of activities. Sorry you didn’t get the take up you would have liked, but we are sure that will grow!
