Preparations are underway for the European Parliament Ambassador Schools (EPAS) Sakharov Youth Seminar 2025, which will take place in Strasbourg on Tuesday, 16 December 2025.
This seminar will bring together 147 EPAS students and teachers from all the EU Member States and the UK to celebrate democratic values and youth engagement in the framework of the Sakharov Prize. The programme is currently being prepared, but will include activities such as:
- A panel discussion with the 2025 Sakharov Laureates and Members of the European Parliament
- Parallel activities for students and teachers
- Reserved seats for participants at the Sakharov Prize Ceremony
- A networking drink with MEPs
- Certificates of attendance
Who can attend?
- The European Parliament Liaison Office in the UK (EPLO UK) will select one school/college to attend as the UK’s delegation.
- This school/college will be able to send 4 students and 2 staff.
- Students will share twin rooms, so this will need to be either 2 males and 2 females, or 4 of the same gender.
- Students should be in the final year of secondary school or post-16 education.
Key details
- Participants will arrive in Strasbourg on Monday, 15 December 2025 and leave on Wednesday, 17 December 2025.
- Accommodation for two nights, lunch and travel (excluding travel in Strasbourg) will be covered by the European Parliament.
