26th September commemorates and celebrates the richness of languages and cultures that connect Europe.
In our Slovak school in England, we are constantly reminded of the importance of learning languages, because they open doors to the world, bring new friendships and possibilities.
The aim of this day is to encourage all citizens to learn new languages, which increase their chances for study, work and a better quality of life within Europe.

Pictured are some of our ambassadors from the AMBASSADOR SCHOOLS program, who actively help to preserve culture and language.
🔎 Did you know that more than 200 languages are spoken in Europe? And that even “small” languages, like Slovak, carry a huge piece of identity and tradition?
How many languages do you speak and why is it important to learn Slovak? Share with us in the comments!

Great to see you celebrating Slovak language and culture like this. We would love to see how your students are involved in these events too.
