We feel this is ‘democratic learning’ as well as ‘cultural exchange’, as diplomacy is a key part of being part of a multilateral, democratic world. Did you discuss Switzerland’s relationship with the EU? There are things it may tell us about the UK and the EU’s relationship going forward: both being important European countries not in, but highly linked to the EU.
