Day trip to Verona

Cultural Exchange School trip with Spanish students
Our GCSE Spanish students had an amazing exchange trip to Benalmádena, attending a local school and staying with host families. Day one at Maravillas Language School was a hit, with students impressing teachers. We explored the town, enjoyed the beach, and ended with hot chocolate. Stay tuned for more adventures!

School Trip to Euroscola in Strasbourg with Belfast Boys Model School
Mercy College Belfast and Belfast Boys Model School had an amazing time at the Euroscola event in Strasbourg. Promote Democratic engagement
We took 20 pupils to Parliament. The trip was over-subscribed with over 100 pupils who expressed interest. This was part of our Parliament Week/month celebrations in which all pupils receive age appropriate lessons on different aspects of democracy and government. German Exchange
In November and March, 37 Wellington students and their German partners joined a language and cultural exchange. UK students visited Germany for a week, and their German friends came to Scotland. Languages at Work Event – GCHQ and Business Language Champions
Twelve Year 10 students learning French and German took part in the GCHQ challenge at the Royal School in Bath. They got to see languages in action and even enjoyed a taste of Arabic, Korean, and Mandarin. What an exciting opportunity to explore new languages and cultures!

Europe House visit
On December 4th, Notting Hill and Ealing High School’s EU Ambassador Club visited Europe House in Westminster. They explored EU history, structures, and values, including Brexit’s impact. Cherwell at Euroscola 2023
Twenty students and two teachers joined the Euroscola conference on November 24, 2023, diving into cyber security and EU democracy. They tackled projects, connected with peers from 26 countries, and explored five languages. Traveling sustainably, they enjoyed cultural activities and honed skills like communication and leadership.
