European Day of Languages Celebration at the Canterbury Academy

Inspired by their visit to the London event on 25th September, our Junior Ambassadors organised an event to celebrate European Day of Languages. The event included a range of fun games, activities and taster sessions, plus a scavenger hunt.

The lunchtime event was hugely successful attracting approximately 80 participants who took part in quizzes, language-related games and taster sessions in Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Romanian and German. Our Ambassadors were from Years 12 and 13 and they demonstrated to younger students that language-learning can be fun! They also used this opportunity to promote the role of EPAS Junior Ambassador, successfully recruiting several students from younger years.

Amazing! This is just what we hope a trip to Europe House will inspire for Junior Ambassadors. Wonderful to see young people taking the lead on something like this.
