Our GCSE Spanish pupils went on an exchange trip to Benalmadena where they attended a Spanish speaking school and stayed with host families who were local to the area.

Day one of Spanish lessons in Maravillas Language School went really well. The students were engaging with their teachers and enjoyed learning new words. I was delighted to hear compliments about our GCSE pupils’ Spanish skills…proud teacher moment.
In the afternoon out teachers Isabel and Macarena took us for a bilingual orientation tour of Benalmadena. We also went to the park and the beach. It was quite windy at the beach so the waves were amazing.
Day two was a relaxing day. The pupils spent their morning with families and in the afternoon, they explored Benalmádena.
Parque de la Paloma with gorgeous palm trees and picturesque scenery followed by a beach walk, running races and attempt to go see the most beautiful marina in the region which was cut short by the unexpected rain. Hot chocolate and games inside were a pleasant unplanned end of our day.
Today, we will be split up into two groups in the language school. Profe Macarena and profe Isobel will teach our keen linguists. Stay tuned for more news from Andalucía.
