Clyst Vale Euros 2024
The event mirrored the Euros 2024 Championships, bringing together teams from all three school houses and lower years (7-10) for a fun, inclusive football competition. Organized by Mr. Adam Pearce, Head of Year 10, it was a hit! Check out the full write-up and results for more excitement!

Senior Ambassador CPD 2024
Last week, we had an amazing training session for Senior Ambassadors at Europe House. We welcomed both new and returning Ambassadors from places like Alcester, Abingdon, Ayr, Belfast, Plymouth, Blackpool, Great Yarmouth, Manchester, Maldon, Seaford Head, and all over London. It was a fantastic gathering of passionate individuals!

First Scottish Ambassador School
Wellington School is the first in Scotland to become a European Parliament Ambassador School! We were thrilled to get our certificates and plaque just in time for the school year’s end. At the final assembly, the Headmaster proudly awarded certificates to our Junior Ambassadors. Stay tuned for a formal event next year!

UK General Election Hustings
Junior Ambassadors from Queen Elizabeth’s School in Crediton hosted a lively election hustings for the upcoming UK general election. While focusing on the UK, they also discussed trends from recent European and French elections, highlighting the power of voting. Dive in to see how these young leaders are making a difference!

European Elections Library stand and treasure hunt
Junior Ambassadors from the European Parliament got inspired and organized a treasure hunt to celebrate the European Elections. We teamed up with the Library, showcasing books on European history and democracy, and created an election-themed treasure hunt. Students searched for posters, solved secret messages, and competed for fun prizes!

Assembly presentation to S5 pupils
Junior Ambassadors from Clevedon Secondary School gave a presentation to new Secondary 5 students. They highlighted the Ambassador Schools program and invited questions. Students were encouraged to join activities and reach out if they wanted to become Junior Ambassadors. Dive in and discover more about this exciting opportunity!

German Exchange
In November and March, 37 Wellington students and their German partners joined a language and cultural exchange. UK students visited Germany for a week, and their German friends came to Scotland. The program included five days of workshops, sports, and team-building activities. Emilia’s report shares her exciting experience in the school magazine.

Model United Nations
Wellington School Junior Ambassadors hosted a Model UN for Primary 7, focusing on Human Rights and Child Labour. Delegates worked in pairs or threes, representing 12 countries linked to the EU. The JAs led the event, from opening to closing, rewarding top delegations. Participants loved it, gaining skills and eager for more!
