    On Wednesday, February 28th, eight Junior Ambassadors from Carmel College rocked the regional finals of the European Youth Parliament in Liverpool. They debated hot topics like antisocial behavior, climate change, and the cost of living crisis. Our students shone brightly, earning high praise from the judges. Keep it up!

    Europe House visit

    On December 4th, Notting Hill and Ealing High School’s EU Ambassador Club visited Europe House in Westminster. They explored EU history, structures, and values, including Brexit’s impact.     Pen pal exchange with pupils from a Spanish school

    Year 11 students at Hele’s School, taking Spanish as an extra GCSE, exchanged pen pal letters with a Spanish school. This connection was made through a Spanish staff member. Writing letters offers a unique cultural exchange, encouraging thoughtful communication and helping students express themselves clearly and confidently.

    International Mother Languages Day Celebration

    Students at Mercy College, Belfast, had a blast on International Mother Languages Day! They kicked off with a fun “Guess the Language” quiz, enjoyed an international lunch, and got creative with crafts. The main corridor featured a display of language facts.     Visiting the Couven Gymnasium in Aachen, a Europa Schule

    Year 9 German students from Channing School were thrilled to meet their penpals at Couven Gymnasium in Aachen. They teamed up on cultural topics, from music to food, and gave presentations. Couven students spoke in English, while Channing students presented in German. It was an amazing cultural exchange experience!

    Our Year 9 German learners had an awesome time hiking to Dreilaendereck on a sunny February day. They were thrilled when their phones switched countries with just a few steps! Reaching the spot where Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany meet was a highlight they absolutely loved.

    Weekly Voting Board

    We’ve set up a weekly election for our students at Mercy! Our EPAS Junior Ambassadors researched elections and made a cool display in our Politics classroom. We started with fun topics like “cats vs. dogs” and “Christmas trees in December,” but now we’re tackling current European issues. Our Junior Ambassadors plan, count, and display everything!
