Clyst Vale Community College was thrilled to host Asher Jacobsberg from the European Parliament Liaison Office on December 13th. He launched the European Parliament Ambassador Schools project and led a lively debate on EU-UK priorities. Students from Years 11-13 engaged enthusiastically, learning about the European Parliament’s workings. Exciting times ahead!

Christmas cards for refugees
Cecylia, one of Hele’s School’s Junior Ambassadors, started a heartwarming project in tutor groups. Students wrote thoughtful messages to refugees and asylum seekers, letting them know they’re in our thoughts. These messages were then sent to the Devon and Cornwall Refugee Centre. It’s a beautiful way to show kindness and support!

In the final Spanish class of 2023 at Manchester Hospital School, Leo Kelly’s KS3 students got creative! They wrote scripts, performed, and filmed fun puppet shows to showcase the Spanish they learned during the autumn term. Check out their amazing work and see how much they’ve achieved!

Remembrance Day Activities
To honor Remembrance Day, students aged 4-18 at Manchester Hospital School crafted tissue paper poppies. Older students joined the National Literacy Trust’s Remembrance Live assembly, diving into the day’s history. They explored various remembrance methods, including how France and Germany commemorate the end of WW1 and WW2 differently.
