In the lead up to UN International Mother Language Day on Feb 21st Junior Ambassadors from Oldham Sixth Form College encouraged sixth form students to watch films in a variety of languages by posting a menu of titles of films available on the college’s e-stream platform.
They designed and ran an Introduction to Italian with a local primary school year 3 class, teaching them words and phrases.

They promoted language diversity through a tongue twister game involving tongue twisters in a variety of languages and their translations into English. The task was to locate on a map where the tongue twister originated.

They celebrated translation through an information point for students explaining the global interest in the story ‘the little prince’.
