Trip to Brussels

From 20th–23rd December, QE students from Years 11-13 took part in an European Parliament Ambassador School Programme (EPAS) trip to Brussels. The visit included trips to the European Commission, the Council and the European Parliament, giving students a valuable insight into the workings of the European Union.

Alongside this, students explored Brussels’ rich cultural heritage by viewing the surrealist paintings of Magritte, marvelling at the retrofuturistic wonder of the Atomium, and fully engaging with Belgian cuisine by eating chips, chocolate and waffles, wherever they presented themselves!

The students were excellent ambassadors for the school throughout the trip and a great time was had by all. Well done to all involved!

Fantastic! Great for students to be able to visit these political and cultural institutions at the heart of the EU. Would be great to hear from the students what they got out of it.
