Languages Showcase
At our Languages showcase event, our EPAS Junior Ambassadors spoke about their role and about the importance of language learning . They and other students presented their languages skills in varied and excellent performances. Over 120 students, parents and staff attended our event. Eurovision Song Contest Quiz
We marked the celebration of Eurovision 2025 with a quiz displaying the flags of the countries entered into the contest this year in Basel. Well done to Jana in Year 8 for her winning entry! Defending democracy assembly
On 15th May we presented an assembly on democracy – defending it and celebrating it. In it, we covered topics on the history of democracy, the threats to democracy, student led activism, Ukraine and the defence of democracy against Russian aggression, as well as a call to students to be active participants in democracy. Swale Schools Forum
As part of our work with European Ambassadors we wanted to restart the Swale Schools Forum. It stopped due to financial issues. Junior Ambassadors wanted to find out how much Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle students actually knew about the EU. Europe Day celebration 2025
To celebrate Europe Day, our school organized a special quiz and project day filled with fun and learning. Students took part in a quiz all about Europe, testing their knowledge of countries, cultures, and key facts. Oaklea Grange Online Euroscola Event
Pupils took part in a full day of Euroscola events, including talking to the Vice-President of the European Parliament. We then took part in an Innovation Lab: “WE HAVE ONLY ONE EARTH: THE EU’S STRATEGY AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE” discussing policies on climate change and how the European Parliament are going to address this. Europe Day
Students organised an information stand to promote Europe Day. They spoke to students from across the school and handed out badges to celebrate European integration and cooperation. 6th form students took part in a European flag quiz at lunchtime which saw some fierce competition.

Europe Day Lunch and Quiz

Gathering donations for ‘Refuweegee’ a Refugee charity in Glasgow.
Pupils and staff donated items of clothing, food and sanitary supplies to ‘Refuweegee’ which is a Glasgow charity set up to support refugees.
