Debating European Issues
We’ve been running debating sessions for years 7, 8 and 9 on a number of EU issues – such as should the UK adopt the Euro, and should the UK be allowed to participate in EU events? We heard some great ideas from the students and had a vote for each debate! Debate presentation Links

Visit from Europe House
We had a visit from Asher from Involver who taught Y12 politics students about the EU and the UK’s relationship with the EU. Students got assigned an EU country and took part in EU bingo as well as discussing some of the most important issues in the UK’s relationship with the EU. EPAS Team Comment

Presentation on EU-funded Research and Innovation in Cancer and Chronic Pain
Research on “EU-funded Research and Innovation in Cancer and Chronic Pain” to aspiring medical students. They highlighted how Horizon Europe, the EU’s largest research programme (running from 2021–2027), is driving ground-breaking advancements in cancer and chronic pain research. Our Visit from Europe House
Wellington School hosted a speaker from Europe House, who ran sessions on the European Parliament and Scotland’s role in the EU for Wellington students and their Spanish exchange group.

Languages Careers Fair
A Junior Ambassador (a student) proposed we organise a Careers Fair specially for Languages. She worked to invite the local Uni to come and present as well as organising her peers to edit videos of testimonials, prepare food for the day and steward the event. She also did a speech to publicise European Parliament Ambassador
