We went on a trip to Europe House on VE day on 8th of May to celebrate Europe Day. There, we had a lecture by the MP for Battersea and member of the UK Delegation to the UK-EU Parliamentary Partnership Assembly, Marsha De Cordova. The day began with a speech by Marsha, delving into the importance of maintaining strong relations with the EU, especially in reflection of the day being VE day.

Following on from this, we were paired into groups with other EPAS school students, each group’s theme revolving around a certain EU based topic. We were able to collaborate with fellow students on an EU quiz, and discuss why we each thought the work of the European Union was Important. We left Europe House with new initiative ideas and appreciation.
