Today, student at Mercy College, Belfast, had a great time celebrating International Mother Languages Day!
In the morning they had a “Guess the Language” quiz created by some of their EAL (English as an Additional Language) students who recorded themselves saying phrases in their first language.
At lunchtime they then had an International lunch provided by the canteen and International themed crafts where students made suncatchers of different European landmarks while trying snacks from countries around Europe. They also had a display board in the main corridor with key facts about languages.
