LUX awards Brussels
Some of our ambassadors recently had the incredible opportunity to travel to Brussels to visit the European Parliament and attend the prestigious LUX Audience Film Awards. Presentation on EU-funded Research and Innovation in Cancer and Chronic Pain
Research on “EU-funded Research and Innovation in Cancer and Chronic Pain” to aspiring medical students. They highlighted how Horizon Europe, the EU’s largest research programme (running from 2021–2027), is driving ground-breaking advancements in cancer and chronic pain research. Languages Careers Fair
A Junior Ambassador (a student) proposed we organise a Careers Fair specially for Languages. She worked to invite the local Uni to come and present as well as organising her peers to edit videos of testimonials, prepare food for the day and steward the event. 16 students from QE’s sixth form participated in a Euroscola day on the subject of “protecting democracy and fundamental rights in Europe”. We were lucky enough this year to attend Your Europe, Your Say. This is an event hosted by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC)( in Brussels. Euroscola
We spent a day in March debating at European Parliament on a number of issues such as the EU’s zero pollution ambition, gender equality and free speech. It was great to meet and speak in front of 800+ young people from across the EU, and get to see how European Parliament works. Links EPAS Team

Participation in eTwinning project
Two junior ambassadors (Freya Parsons and Isla Hulland) took part in the eTwinning project. Their workgroup (10) researched and produced presentation materials on the issue of “Inequalities Facing Older People”. Spanish Exchange
In January, eight Wellington students embarked on an exciting week at Salesianos in Huesca, Spain.
