Participation in National Student Leadership Elections

One of our Students’ Union Presidents recently stood as a candidate in the national elections for the position of Vice President of Further Education at the National Union of Students (NUS). This was a highly significant opportunity to represent students on a national platform and contribute to shaping policies affecting further education across the UK.

The election process was democratic and competitive, with one other candidate contesting for the position. Students and representatives participated in the voting process, ensuring that the outcome reflected the collective voice of the student body.

We actively supported and engaged in the election, encouraging participation and raising awareness among students about the importance of voting. As a result of this collective effort, our candidate was successfully elected, securing the position with a strong number of votes.

This achievement highlights the strength of student engagement within our community and demonstrates our commitment to democratic participation and representation at a national level. It also reflects the leadership, dedication, and vision of our President, who will now play a key role in advocating for further education students across the country.

Fantastic work, and well done Kaynat! We’ve updated the number of people impacted as we are sure that if there was a campaign to get people to vote many more than 3 people would have seen that.
