Debating competition
On November 20th, three Junior Ambassadors from Carmel College—Michel Hachem, Finley Crookes, and Alex Thompson—shone at a debating competition at Bolton School. Competing in the English Speaking Union’s Schools’ Mace, they tackled ‘Green Belt’ housing issues and won! Now, they’re excitedly heading to the second round.

On November 6th, 16 junior ambassadors from Carmel College joined a lively chat about the Labour government’s plan to build on the ‘Grey Belt’ to tackle housing issues. Visit to the UK Parliament
On Tuesday, October 22nd, thirty Junior Ambassadors from Carmel College, St Helens, had an exciting trip to London. We toured the House of Lords, watched the Speaker’s procession into the House of Commons, and listened to Foreign Office questions. We also enjoyed a Q&A session with local MP Marie Rimmer.

Celebration of 2023-24 Ambassadors
On October 3rd, 2024, students received certificates for participating in last year’s European Parliament Ambassador School (EPAS) program. This initiative boosts students’ EU knowledge. Our Junior Ambassadors hosted events like a Model UN, speeches, and debates, and three even visited the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
