Europe Day 2026

Wellington School celebrated Europe Day last week. As has become tradition, the chefs prepared European delights at lunchtime. This year, the Belgian waffles were a particular success!

In the afternoon, one of our Junior Ambassadors took time out of study leave to lead a workshop for Primary 4 on European countries. They talked about flags, country shapes and national animals. The level of discussion of geo-politics from some of the children was impressive!

On Monday, Asher Jacobsberg visited our school. We talked about this session’s events and plans for next year when a highlight will be a visit to Strasbourg to participate in Euroscola.

Looks like you had lots of fun on Europe Day. Great to see your older students working with the younger ones and thanks for having me over for coffee and shortbread!
