European excitement at Leo Kelly

Yesterday I took a trip to Manchester to meet the Junior and Senior Ambassadors of Leo Kelly School.

Leo Kelly have integrated the Ambassador Schools programme into their ‘Preparation for Adulthood’ curriculum, and it was brilliant to see how well this is working.

Students have been learning about the languages, history, politics and culture of countries across Europe. They have been cooking, map-making, visiting local European shops and teaching one another.

We were given a delicious selection of European foods, prepared by the students, as well as a bag decorated with a European nations’ flag, and we were tested with a Kahoot quiz created by students. You can give their quiz a go here: https://kahoot.it/solo/?quizId=59bf4c8c-308e-4692-8fbf-e5037a34b2cc

I was there to run an educational session for the students, staff and parents who had come to see all the projects the Junior Ambassadors had been working on.
