To celebrate Europe Day, we hosted a vibrant and engaging event that brought together around 60 participants from our school and local community. The celebration aimed to promote understanding and appreciation of European cultures and values.

Our event featured a stall area showcasing information about various European countries, where visitors could learn about different nations’ cultures, traditions, and heritage. A particular highlight was a fascinating display of animals representing different European countries, generously provided by Animal Encounters, which sparked curiosity and learning among attendees of all ages.
Music played a central role in creating a lively atmosphere throughout the day. The Pantastic Steel Band entertained the crowd with music from different countries, while a bagpiper added a traditional Scottish touch. We were also thrilled to welcome Jessica Fiddler, an opera singer, whose performance was a cultural highlight of the event.
There were a variety of play sessions and cultural activities, including engaging opportunities for the community to experience Welsh folk dancing, which connected people to our national heritage. We were honoured to welcome distinguished guests, including the Assembly Member (AM) for Wales, who showed strong support for our celebration, as well as members of the local community, who came to learn, share, and celebrate the diversity of European cultures.
The event was a great success, promoting cultural understanding and European identity while strengthening ties between our school and the wider community.
