We had the amazing opportunity to visit Strasbourg and attend Euroscola in February! Pupils and staff had such a fantastic time and learned a lot from the experience! Trip to Brussels
From 20th–23rd December, QE students from Years 11-13 took part in an European Parliament Ambassador School Programme (EPAS) trip to Brussels. The visit included trips to the European Commission, the Council and the European Parliament, giving students a valuable insight into the workings of the European Union. Alongside this, students explored Brussels’ rich cultural heritage

The Euroscola group headed to the European Parliament where they took part in debates with young people from across Europe. This helps to inform the EU on the views of young people around AI, Disinformation and possible solutions. Mercy College Belfast and Belfast Boys Model School had an amazing time at the Euroscola event in Strasbourg. They learned how the European Parliament works, joined a lively debate on climate change, and even sat in the Hemicycle! What a fantastic cross-community experience for these students. European Parliament educational session at NHEHS
We were super excited to have Asher from Europe House visit our school for a workshop on European institutions and democracy. Students got to simulate voting in the European Parliament, experiencing the legislative process firsthand. The session ended with a lively chat about the European Parliament’s role, sparking great insights and discussions!
NHEHS in Strasbourg for Euroscola
During October half-term, NHEHS students visited Strasbourg for the Euroscola programme at the European Parliament. As the UK’s sole representative, we shared our views on political issues with European peers. The day was filled with debates, Q&As, and workshops, making it an enriching and unforgettable experience.

Analyzing European Elections
Class activity related to the results and procedures of European elections. EPAS Team Comment Very useful to examine both from a political perspective, but also as an exercise in mathematical communication. Good to see that Spain has reached parity in terms of the number of male and female MEPs.

European Elections InfoPoint
Junior Ambassadors from Lytham St Anne’s High School have set up slides in the dining room, sharing info on voting in the EU and celebrating Europe Day. This helps European students learn how to vote when they’re of age. The slides are up from May 9th to June 6th, covering the European Parliament elections.

The EU and Negotiating our ongoing relationship
On April 30th, we welcomed Asher Jacobsberg from Europe House. He shared insights on the European Parliament’s structure and history, which was eye-opening for us. Europe House visit
On December 4th, Notting Hill and Ealing High School’s EU Ambassador Club visited Europe House in Westminster. They explored EU history, structures, and values, including Brexit’s impact.
